In December 2019, the first Hawaiian cafe and diner, "hale'aina HOA," opened in Onna Village, one of the premier resort areas in northern Okinawa. The menu primarily features "HIBACHI" plates, which refer to island-style BBQ in Hawaii, alongside popular Hawaiian dishes such as garlic shrimp, loco moco, poke, malasadas, and acai bowls. Guests can also enjoy Hawaiian beers and wines, as well as Okinawa's own "35COFFEE" at this Hawaiian cafe and diner. The artwork on the interior walls, created by Hawaii-connected artist Kim Sielbeck, has become a popular photo spot for many visitors.
